53-5 Running Board brackets..Cab question too.
The project truck came with four loosely assembled frame brackets that were removed over a year ago. I made the note that the ones that didn't have all four nuts were the fronts, but I neglected to note which one was left or right. Can anybody steer me in the right direction before I have to play musical brackets to figure it out?
Is there a list of things I need to have done before putting the cab on the frame? I've got the master in place, will have the pedals all setup, and have the brake lines installed. I think we will have the fuel tank in place and plumbed too. I'm hoping the engine and rear end will be installed before we get to the cab. I do not have the steering gear in place yet.
I know on the old jeeps there were some things that were far easier to do before the engine got installed...I'm hoping that there is a similar list somewhere for the cab and the engine in the effie.

All 4 of mine ('53) are identical. They all have holes for the battery tray and fuel tank.
They also originally had the 4 welded on nuts. These are really only important on the fuel tank side, if you have a tank in the original location. It's not impossible, but it's very difficult to get to the nuts behind the tank with the cab on.

Effie, that's exactly what mine looked like, except for the primer color.
I'm thinking that spot welding some nuts where they don't exist may be the way to go.
Second Edit: I was able to take a close look at those brackets tonight, and after blasting and paint, I can clearly see marks from the spot welds on the old nuts. So weld on new nuts for the missing ones it is!
Thanks everybody!
