Just curious about the year end clearance. When does this normally start and what kind of savings should I be looking for. Now I'm not looking at a Pickup (already have five) but a Mach I. And they seem to fall under the SVT when it come to incentives.........there are none.
"Year end clearance, factory authorized clearance-" it's all pretty much bunk. You can work as good a deal in January as you can August as far as the price between you and the dealer goes. There might be higher rebates this time of year, but I've never seen a better deal in this business because of the time of year. As for a Mach I, good luck: Cobras are easier to get than them right now. If you can get a dealer to take ANYTHING off the sticker of a Mach I, stop where you are and write the check- your shopping is done.
Shopping done? No no no.......so far the price is at $26,898. Down from $29,670. plus a dealer will throw in a bra (which I don't want), auto start and chrome tips for the tail pipes. And if I was military or x-military I could get another $1500 of the car on top of that. So the way I look at it I should be able to get the car for a least $25,398...........so thats the goal. But if anyone hears of some incentives coming up please let me know.
Ford just announced a TWENTY-FIVE-HUNDRED dollar rebate on SVT and Mach I Mustangs in our area, good only till September 2nd. I hope you haven't bought yet. If you give me your ZIP code, I can tell you if you qualify.
Appreciate the heads up 1956MarkII! And yes the salesman did call the house and let the wife know of the rebate. Have you heard anything on financing? And I will say it is looking better for the home team!
Year end clearences are pretty much rebates and or incentives from the manufacturer. The end of August and early Sept. is when Ford really throws the rebate/incentive cash around. Throughout the year they ocassionally do the same but not to the EXTENT ($$) as the year end programs.
