Cool ! Did you assemble or have Survival build it? They do very good work but can be very busy. Did you run it on a dyno?

BTW, thanks for the follow up!

When ever I look at a old car and see a modern engine all covered up with some custom plastic or billet panel trying to cover up all the wiring and fuel rails I walk away disappointed.
I've always looked at the paint and wheels as the cool factor and the engine as the wow factor, can't get better wow than a mulity carbed or blown big block
Modern engines can make more power and get better fuel mileage but just don't have the WOW factor of a neatly dressed older engine.
I'll never give up my 406 FE with three Holley carbs for the modern convenience of computerized fuel injection.
Times 3 to this. Love my 331 tripower in my 77 Comet. Dead nuts reliable. For 14 years now. Carbs ain't been touched the whole time.

That looks great. You're going to have a blast roasting tires in that thing...

Looks great. What did you use for a camshaft?

It's nice to see a build actually happen, not just get discussed.

what is involved mating the tko500 to the FE engine? i'm pretty ignorant on the nuances here. Stock belhousing? adapter between somewhere? replacement belhousing... head is spinning.

I believe you just buy the correct QuickTime bell housing. Should be able to get off-the-shelf aftermarket parts...nothing special...just a little moola.

You can use the stock bell with a 1" spacer if I'm not mistaken. The TKO's fit the Ford "Cobra" and SROD bell's which are 1" deeper than the Toploader bells
