'48 Dana 44 rear end question

I have someone interested in buying a Dana 44 rear end from me but his question is what kind of gears does it have.

How do I check this??
Thanks for your advise

TO COUNT AXLE: Put a mark on the driveshaft. If you have a post or locking differential you must rotate any tire completely 10 revolutions and count the number of revolutions on the drive shaft. If you have an open or non-locking differential, you must rotate the tire 20 revolutions. This will tell you exactly what ratio you have. One tire needs to be fixed or setting on the ground. A Dana 44 is probably a non-locking differential.

If it's off a '48 and is the stock axle, it's actually a Dana 41 and would have a 3.73 ratio, or the optional 4.27 ratio.

Easiest way to confirm the ratio with it off is to set it up on jackstands, mark both the pinion yoke and one of the drums, and count how many turns of the pinion it takes to get one revolution of the drum. Both drums need to be turning.

Must have been swapped at some point. It would be a 3.92 or 4.27 then.
