Anyone using the Reese 30156 Rail Kit Mounting Adapter?
I just bought the adapter. I was wondering if anyone has tried to use a lock instead of the clif pins the come with the kit? I'm concerned someone can just pull the clif pins and steal the 5th wheel hitch and adapter. Any ides would be appreciated.

I've got the Hensley adapter but they are both similar in design. The 2 latching arms (for lack of a better name) are pretty close to the base so a decent sized pad lock would be very hard to work. I just use a very short 1/2" stainless bolt with a nyloc nut to secure it, "most" crooks aren't going to take the time and effort to remove the 2 bolts ..... but again, if they really want your parts and have the time then it's gone.

Reese make the below pin locks. 4 to a package, for $12.99. Just buy 4 padlocks and your good to go. Part # RP58093. I have these on my hitch. 2 on the hitch head, the other 2 on opposite hitch legs.
