Good afternoon , thanks for the warm welcome.
My father and I obviously have our work cut out for us, as all of you already know from experience. But, if it was easy ,everyone would have a M-H..... Ha Ha
Hey Stu, you are correct that the 1951 F3 I have already does not have a bed. It use to be a grain hauling truck with a PTO driven dump bed from a local family in Du Quoin, IL(low miles but well used). The bed rotted away but, when I turned the motor over the dump was still engaged and it started to move, break for the good guys . Thanks for the heads up on a bed in Norris City, I will be making a trip there tomorrow to look at it in person. probably gonna snag it while I can, as long as it isn't too far gone.
thanks for everything

Wish I could tell you where in the yard to look, but I got lost. The old man owner is the one to talk to. His son and daughter seemingly don't make the decisions. Remind him of what he quoted me. I'll repeat, it's no beauty, but seems straight. No tail gate, but beats what you have now. Stu
Edit - it's only been a couple weeks, maybe three, since I was there. He shouldn't have any convenient memory lapses. Stu

Hey Stu, was able to work out a deal to get the 1948 M-H from the guy in Texas. Will let everyone how it all turns out in a few weeks.
And talked to the guy at Jerrys salvage and says he still has the bed and possibly 3 others that are whole, but will get back with pics when i go see it.

Great that you will get both trucks. You will now, like me, have both 3/4 ton M-H models. The 48 single speed and 51 having the two speed transfer case. You'll find that not all M-H pieces apply to both trucks. As you familiarize yourselves with them we'll have a lot to discuss. We'll help where we can, and probably most importantly, I'd suggest you get to know Chuck Mantiglia. Stu

I will also add my welcome and congrats on owning two Marryman Herringbones. We own two also along with some other old Ford 4wds. Its a nasty bug to get bit by. We have yet to find a cure! Our education from Stu/Chuck and others has been priceless. I look forward to seeing pics of your new trucks and hope you have an un-eventful trip to Texas. Josh currently holds the record for sketchiest trip to retrieve a MH......hope you don't get his crown!
