Can you describe your current bench seat or post a pic? The seat foam has different thicknesses, depending on the type of seat / springs you have.
A Standard Cab seat had about 1"-2" of foam (best guess) because the springs are curved and sit higher.
A Custom Cab seat had more foam, about 5", because the springs sit lower.
The backrests are the same, and have 1 3/4" foam according to my "1965-66 Ford F-100, F-250 Illustrated Facts and Features Manual".

Here is my seat - Out of standard cab. There is foam and what looks like jute (delicacy for those damn mice) then the burlap. I'm guessing new foam should compensate for the jute (does anyone use this stuff anymore?) and existing foam, right? Does anyone reproduce the correct foam for replacement?
The tags are still on the back and bottom springs. Not sure what that tells me..... if anything.

Well, having a Standard Cab seat simplifies things, in my opinion. You just have to redo the layers instead of carving the bottom solid piece of foam that is used in the Custom Cab seat.
I don't know where to get 'original' foam? A local Car Upholstery shop put my seat back together, he had all of the foam, jute, burlap.
I'll leave the tag decode to the 'experts'.

Some measurements mixed in here.
Standard F-series cabs have formed wire springs with cotton and foam padding in the seat cushion and back. Seat trim is either red, blue, green or beige.
A plastic foam seat cushion, five inches thick, is optional (included with Custom Cab) and is trimmed with color-keyed, Custom Cab woven-plastic seat covers.
A heavy-duty black vinyl seat trim is optional for maximum durability. Especially desirable for operations in which the operator is in and out many times a day.
Bench seat width is 56.8"
Bucket seats are also available for the sports- or prestige-minded buyer in the Ranger package (N.A. with F-250 4x4 or F-350), with or without center console (N.A. with F-100 4x4).

For my standard seat, I used the following with two layers of the blue on the seat and a single layer of the white foam for the back.
The fiberfill covered all the foam.
It was recommended to me by an upholsterer to hog ring a tight layer of heavy upholstery vinyl over the seat springs instead of using burlap. It provides better support, lasts longer and isn't as attractive to mice.
1 Polyester Fiberfill - 1" Thick Please Select Size: 60" Wide x lineal ft. (Medium)11 $1.99 $21.89
1 HD36 High Quality Foam Please Select Thickness: 1"
Please Select Sheet Size: Third Sheet 82" x 24"1 $13.99 $13.99
1 Lux High Quality Foam Please Select Thickness: 1"
Please Select Sheet Size: Third Sheet 82" x 24"2 $14.99 $29.98
1 Claire Mist Spray Adhesive Please Select Pack Size: Claire Mist Single / 13oz
1 $9.49 $9.49

The cover was from Sacramento Vintage Ford on their eBay store - it is vinyl. It had been ordered by someone else and never picked up, so I got it fairly cheap.
The foam was from Foam Factory. Their website is foambymail.com and they were very helpful in getting the right density for the seat bottom and back.
Regards,
Corey
