OEM vs aftermarket wastegate?

It's time to replace the wastegate actuator on my 7.3, and can't seem to decide if an aftermarket actuator is worth the extra $ over the OEM. My engine is bone stock, and I don't seem to have any issues with making power, I also don't have any way to measure boost, egt's etc. Can someone shed some light on this for me? I see Riffraff sells a few aftermarket ones as well as Dieselsite. Pro's/Con's? Thanks!

Also, does anyone know the part #'s for the red/green lines and rubber boots? I'm assuming the 7.3's are the same but I've got an e99 f350 and a 00 ex that are both shot. I'm having one heck of a time pulling part numbers for anything with these vehicles. Thanks guys!

Check out riffraff diesel or Diesel O Rings I know they have those parts and they will be cheaper than the dealership and are OEM parts. Here is the green and red lines your looking for. #14-127 Wastegate vacuum lines - Early 1999 - Turbo and Related Items - 1999-2003 Ford 7.3L
As for the wastegate I had a Banks big head wastegate on my old turbo and couldn't tell the difference between it and stock most people tighten the wastegate rod down all the way anyways. Or if you want easy adjustability the one diesel site is easy to adjust without disconnecting the wastegate. I would say go with whatever the cheaper route is. But that's just what I would do.

I bought the Diesel Site Wastegate Controller when I rebuilt my turbo with a 360 bearing and RiffRaff 4/4 wheel. The controller was a bit pricey, but looks good, works well and enabled me to remove the red/green lines from the engine bay.

As for the gauges they are a personal preference, but a lot of us like ISSPro because they stand behind their product.

Ford - 99-03 Super Duty 7.3L - Gauges, Electrical & Lighting - Gauge Packages - Riffraff Diesel Performance

I bought the manual kit because I have a ZF6, but you may be interested in something different. RiffRaff has different pods for different areas in the truck and 3 or 4 pod pillar mounts.

Gratuitous pictures...

Took it to Seattle from Georgia and back towing a travel trailer last summer! Yup, the truck gets to see the road quite often, but enjoys a soothing bath of Simple Green as well.

OFF TOPIC!!!

We stayed at Saltwater State Park in Des Moines WA just south of Seattle. We have family in downtown Seattle and the park was a great place for us to hang out and hit the water.

Haha,

The OE waste gate for your application will be the best suited (i.e. stock motor, no tuning, etc.).

If you do plan on upgrades I would personally look into a unit that is more "adjust friendly"
