droppd I-beam or spindles for F1s
I'd be interested in any info/experiences you guys have with dropped front I-beams and/or dropped front spindles for an F1. Are dropped spindles for the stock I-beam even available??
I'm curious as to how the steering linkage differences are adjusted or accounted for with the dropped I-beam. Also, I think I've seen disk brake conversions for the F1 with stock I-beams but I don't recall where I saw that -????
Thanks for the help!!!

I noticed (and have since become quite facinated) by what I consider to be the great looks of the '48-'52 Fords in the Pigeon Forge pix that I got from Mr4SpeedFord. Perhaps if you do a search on "Pigeon Forge" for 2002 and 2003 they'll have a list of sponsors/contacts on their website that might include retailers who deal with F-1 and F-2 suspensions??? Good luck... LOVE the looks of a dropped & tubbed F-1/F-2.
Just a thought and my $.02

Showing more ignorance, what does "tubbed" mean?
Tubbed - What happens to your belly as your age advances.
Tubbed - Replaceing the inner wheelwells with larger ones to allow the application of wider/bigger tires.
Tubbed - What you may need to do to your steering wheel as one advances in age and one becomes "Tubbed".

In addition to Mor-drop, Industrial Chassis drops axles as well. Their rates and quality are better than mor-drop.
Never seen dropped spindles for trucks.
As for disc brakes - any of the major aftermarket brake mfgrs will have a bolt-on kit. Check with MP Power, Stainless Steel, ECI, etc. - they all advertise in the Hot Rod & Truck magazines too.
If you want to keep the 5 on 5.5" bolt pattern, a lot of them have kits catering to the early rods - worth a phone call to find out what it would take to put these kits on the truck (probably a just a bearing change)
I used an ECI kit on my 51 F1 Panel years ago - bolted right on and worked perfectly. I had also changed to a 9" rear, so went with 5 on 4.5" bolt pattern for the brakes. I think it used GM calipers & chyrsler rotors - stopped great.
