Ford Econoline 6.8L SOHC EFI NA V10 Gas
I have a Ford e450 Super duty Econoline 6.8L SOHC EFI NA V10 Gas and I need some kind of an official document that tells these morons in Europe how much weight my 2000 Chinook motor home can pull
they have it rated as 1 ton because they don't have a category for an e 350 or 450 super duty. In fact they have it registered an an e-350 v8 which is also ok for me if I can pull 3.5 tons with it. I know it can but I need to show the Europeans so I can put
a) the right trailer hitch on it and
b) buy the trailer I am allowed to pull
email me direcly ocdia@rogers.com
I looked at the offical Ford Motor Home web site and the 2000 Ford CAMPER/TRAILER TOWING CHART SAYS DIFFERENT THINGS LINE I THINK I HAVE A 4 X2 WHICH MEANS TO ME i HAVE REAR WHEEL DRIVE AND DUELIES IN THE BACK YES?
I have a chinook motor home. And it is light compared to oter motorhomes but do not know it's weight. But there is a shinook club forum where I posed a message to ask what the weight it. Let us assume for now it is 1 ton. Here is some additional information
Model ECONOLINE
Fuel type PETROL
Engine capacity [ccm] 6800
Country of Assembly UNITED STATES
Chassis colour OXFORD WHITE
Version 350 SERIES
Engine 6.8L SOHC EFI NA V10 GAS
Fuel emission norm WITH 49 STATE EMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Gearbox E4OD
Axle RWD
And my other question, How can I get a smoother ride
And is there a way to get better gas milage because Gas in Europe isd very very very expensive or is there a way to disable 2 of the cylinders. Someone told me this is possible but I sounds too easy.

No, you can not disable 2 cylinders.. look up what happened with Cadillac 8-6-4 engines. and YES there are a few new type engines that do disable cylinders... a Better Design.. but NOT for towing.
only way to get better gas mileage.. is SLOW DOWN .
you are driving a Brick. a Heavy Brick.
no, you can not get a better ride.. without reducing what you can carry.. the springs are what carries the weight.
Contact Ford for official Documents.
my opinion. others may very.

do you have a tag/sticker on the drivers door? it should state what you can tow.
or contact Ford. as 15 years old.. on-line is limited in information..
or research newer F 350 and F 450 trucks... with the V10 should be similar.
even the NEW motorhomes have the 3 valve V10. look for information on the Georgetown motorhome. "Ford F53 chasse"
the 2 valve V10 has 50 less horsepower.
Have you tried asking on RV, camper, trailer Forums? find owners with same unit you have.
