To get the key for the ext lic do you go to the web page link while the adapter is active and connected? It asks for a h/w ID but not sure what to enter there.

No, the adapter does not need to be connected.
I can't remember for sure, but with the ForScan program open, click on the about program tile, bottom left, looks like a steering wheel with a question mark inside, and it should have a hardware ID number there. Mine now says extended license and the expiration date of when it expires. Write that down then close the ForScan program. Then go to the ForScan site to get the extended license.

Figured it out. In the app go to "About" while connected to adapter, copy ID to clipboard, paste into web page, generate and download key, go back to app and load the key and restart app.

Anybody else check the TCM mileage? Mine shows a little over 1000km more than my cluster shows for mileage.

For me, the key generator placed the key in my registry without any copying and pasting. Ah well, as long as you have it sorted.

It was the device ID I copied from the app to the web page in order to generate the lic key. The app put the key into the reg for me, I didn't have to regedit.

I tried to enable the DPF%. I enabled the manual regen line item which is what I gather is required to show the screen. It wrote it back and asked me to cycle the key but it still shows disabled and my 3rd gauge screen is blank. Is this the correct way to do it?

I also looked at the balance rate on the Dashboard for all 8 cylinders. Number 7 was a much higher number than the rest of them.

Anyone else looked at these PID's? I'll screen shot it next time I run it.

Sounds like you are doing it right Steve. Under IPC module configuration you change Forced Regeneration Request to "Enabled." Click write and done. What OBD2 adapter are you using? I know some will cause this error which is why I had to order the fancy $80 one...

I'm using the OBDLink LX adapter. I'll try it with another one.

Here's a shot of the balance rates I mentioned. Number 7 is higher than the rest.

If you're using the OBDLink LX, that's likely your problem. It's WIFI and is too slow. You need the BT version. OBDLink MX. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It's an LX but it's a BT interface.

https://www.amazon.com/ScanTool-4272...k+lx+bluetooth

From their site it says the MX handles MS-CAN & SW-CAN which it seems the LX doesn't. It'll read everything and says it did the write but nothing changes. Looks like I need another adapter, that'll make 4 that I have

I just added this to my truck tonight with the cheap bluetooth adapter tonight Thanks for the info. My adapter is in the link below.

https://www.amazon.com/Goliton%C2%AE.../dp/B009NPAORC

EDIT: I should add that my bluetooth adapter needed a password before it would connect to my Windows10 laptop. I stuck 1234 in there and it paired right up.

If anyone else gets a chance to run the dashboard I'd be curious as to what numbers they get. I'm on metric but he differential % is what matters.

Any Forscan users get a chance to look at their cylinder balance rates?

Just getting to the party. If anyone is still subscribed......I read the thread and this is what I've gathered. Please correct me where I've gone off script.

Forscan for Windows is required to make and save changes - Windows 10 compatiblity is verified.
The higher end BT adapter definitely works, but does not work with IOS.
Forscan lite runs on IOS but is only view only.
A WiFi adapter required for IOS.

Basically I need two configurations...one for applying mods and one if I want to display in IOS. If this is correct, Is there any value in just viewing, or should I just stick with the Windows version?
