Hey guys I am wondering is there any particular way to get those screws out of the back brake drums? And also do they come right off after?
Spray lots of PB blaster or your favorite rust busting spray. Hit them a few times a day for several days before you try and remove them. I used an impact driver with a large flat driver tip. Keep pressure on the tool to avoid destroying the slot. Last choice is drill them out.
I used the impact driver on my F4 drums and they all came out fine. On an east coast or rust belt truck they may be rusted in more than mine were. A little heat on the bolts won't hurt either. Once you get them out, you will probably need to back off to adjustment on the brakes to be able to pull the drums off, as there may be a ridge on the inside edge of the drums.

I was inpatient and actually drilled them out. I then found new replacement screws with a countersunk hex head. Just make sure you don't mess up the threads. Of course I used a lot of Blaster also!
I was expecting the worst case scenario so I soaked them liberally with penetrant, slightly ground down a drag link socket and used my air impact wrench. What a waste of time, they flew out.
Yes, I replaces my screws with new ones that has allen heads. They make them with torx head too which might be better. I used anti-seize compound when I put mine back in and was glad I did when I had to remove the drums a couple years later.
