Cracks on rain gutters on cab

My '94 F-150. After washing it yesterday I decided to take some pics of something that has bothered me for a long time but not enough to look for a solution until today. These cracks are on top of the cab at the back end of the rain gutters (don't be irritated if that's not what they're called). They appear to go pretty deep and might have some rust inside of them. I would like to correct this. If anybody knows how to fix this please do so or atleast point me in the right direction.

I have this issue as well. To see if there is rust, you will have to remove some of that cracked paint. Best remedy, correct me if I'm wrong:
Remove all loose & peeling paint.
Inspect for corrosion & remove it. Obviously this could be very involved, depending on how much corrosion you find.
Apply proper automotive seam sealer, then prep, prime, & paint.

At the very least, clean the area up and apply the automotive seam sealer. That should help keep the problem at bay until you can do it right, if you want.

I have a dremel. Couldn't that knock loose some of the paint? I'm willing to do it right.

That is factory seam sealer. It dries up and cracks from age.

True fix, grind it out, fix any rust issue that came from it and then reseal and paint.

I think a Dremel would be a great tool to grind out the old seam sealer and rust.

Might take a long time depending on how big of cutter you use. A wire wheel on an angle grinder would make short work, but you'll have a larger area to repaint.
