AC hot after 45 min

Hello, my 2004 F250 6.0 blows ice cold for about 45-60 minutes. Then, there is a 20-25% drop in airflow through the vents and it blows hot. This lasts until the truck has been turned off for several hours. There was a little debris in my orifice tube screen. I am fairly unfamiliar with AC systems. Any thoughts on what this could be? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Your evaporator is icing (freezing) up. Most commonly caused by a stuck low pressure switch if there are no other symptoms.

If you park immediately after one of these occurrences and come back an hour later, you'll see a very large puddle of water under the truck, right behind the front tire on the passenger side.

I have noticed a little water, but seems like a normal amount from condensation. I'll keep an eye out for a larger one, next time. I did just remember that the AC tech looked a few weeks ago and noted that my high side "was very high". If I remember right, I think he said it was at 375 psi..? Any idea from where the debris from the orifice screen is coming? The mechanic thinks it's my compressor going bad and is wanting to replace it tomorrow. Does that sound plausible?

Insufficient data.

Let someone who is "hands-on" diagnose it.

I repaired my rangers ac at the beginning of summer including replacing the high and low pressure switches. They are relatively inexpensive and easy to replace. Mine screwed on to schrader valves so i didn't have to recharge the system after replacing them. It was less than $45 for the parts.
