That sucks Pat. When you can see it coming and know that it won't be long it makes every day more important. We went through that with Libby. We knew her days were numbered when the cancer came back so aggressively so we tried to make those last days painless and special with a lot of love. Still brings tears to my eyes when I think about her.
Must be how our kids will feel as they watch us fade away - or not. Maybe they'll just be glad to see us go!

Morning Pat, Jim, Shawn and anyone that I missed.
The basset rescue that my wife and I volunteer with spends on average about $60K a year on vet bills. Each dog is also neutered or spayed and is up to date on all shots & medically in good shape before being adopted. Just like the pug rescue, no one receives a check and all of the money that is raised/donated including adoption fees goes to the dogs & for the two transport vans, insurance and out of state travel expenses that are incurred when bringing hounds up from down south. Lately we have been sending about every 2 or 3 weeks one van down to Kentucky to bring 6-8 dogs up to be adopted. We also have 7 basset puppies that we won at a livestock auction in Missouri that will be heading north in the next week or so. This is the third group of dogs that have been "won" at this auction and they are all from puppy mills. The other dogs have been retired breeding stock that range from a few years old up to 9 or 10. There is a group of people that have donated all of the funds to get these dogs and the rescue that I am with fortunately has the waiting adopter list & the means to pay for all of the vetting that they need.

Sitting at my desk at the office when it is sunny and 70 outside. Wishing that it was closer to 1700 than it is now...lol. Other than that, I am doing fine

Kind of the same. Except 1530 and I can sit or stand at mine. We are going to my mom's house later so I can replace the front sway bar end links on her 07 freestyle. I did our 05 five hundred a little bit ago. Pretty quick job. Unfortunately I won't be able to use my impact gun so taking the tires off and then on will add time

Sounds like you are going to have some fun
Going to be starting to do some interior painting at home so the wife and I will be stopping tonight at Lowe's to pick up the paint and needed supplies. Holes in the wall have already been patched so just need to sand them down and then paint. Should not take too long once the trim work is cut in and the corners are done. The rooms have 7'6" ceilings and I can reach from top to bottom, but I will still use an adjustable pole on the roller.
