Huge mileage change at 100k

So, brother wanted me to ask you guys if you have experienced what he is seeing now. 2012 F-250 super cab 4x4, 6.7 and just over 100k on the odometer. He pulls a 20' landscaping trailer with about 3000lbs of gear on a daily basis. He drives the same rounds weekly and the truck is dealer serviced. His trips to the pump used to be every 7 days and are now occurring every 3-4 days. He's down to 10.4 mpg. I usually can pull better mileage with the 6.2 pulling said trailer. Anyone have any thoughts??

Turbo inlet/outlet leak? check all connection in that system. Inlet/intake air restriction, plugged filter. Plugged or collapsed fuel filters. Plugged or restricted inter-cooler. Trans slippage. Injector faults. Is it running the same as before the mileage loss?

There is obviously something draggin the fuel mileage down. as some of the fellas there start with checking some of the above mentioned items and go from there. When your brother had the truck into the dealer by chance did they do any updated flashes? Has your brother been doing a lot of short trips the last while? I am just wondering if maybe the DPF is maybe getting plugged up from not completeting some regens. Has your brother gotten any error messages?

No warranty at 100K unless its extended. Ford drops you like a hot potato at EXACTLY 3/36 bump to bump... and 5/60 pwr train. I know this first hand.

Could be a stuck injector, send oil sample to Blackstone, if fuel in oil is high then that's your problem
