Radio unit reads Listening...

I have a 2011 F250 with Sync issue because it does not respond to voice commands. I have followed the owners manual but to no avail. Wondering has anyone else come across this issue? Possibly Mic bad?

More then likely, the control unit is screwy.

Disconnect the battery for 15-30 minutes, reconnect, and let it boot up and see if it starts working again.

If that fails, I'm not sure what your options are. I know on my 2013 Taurus, they extended the Sync warranty to 5 years, unlimited mileage. You might want to check up on that with a dealer.

I have tried the Master reset, battery reset and the fuse removal reset and still no luck.
Tried unpairing the phone and unit a couple of times still the same result. I have sent
radio to the Ford repair center here in San Antonio. The radio checks out okay. Wondering if the Sync Module is the problem?

I would say that's the culprit, yes. Of course, make sure the mic wiring is OK before you go nuts

Did you check up on whether your Sync is still under the Ford-extended warranty of 5 years?

Well I ordered a new microphone from the dealer and will try that next. I have a Sync module also on stand by just in case the microphone does not fix the problem. I will keep you posted on the outcome...

Update on my Sync situation. Replaced microphone first and tried again still read
listening. So installed the Sync module that I got from a salvage yard and that fixed
my problem. No I have voice commands again and can hear the other person talking.
