replace oil pan gasket

Not so easy 93 F350 4x4 460 5 spd with a Milodon off road pan there is half inch clearance between pan and cross member.
I know I can raise the engine some, has anyone done this combo? possible?

Might be a tad hard to clean the surfaces. I did it with a four piece gasket on a stock 302. Not a replacement for a good one piece but was all i could afford at the time. Done good so far it's been over a year now.

The job is hard enough with the factory pan.

When I did my F350 89 2wd/460, I ended up sending back a Dorman pan, and sanded and painted my pan, because the Dorman edges were not rolled as tight as OEM, and couldn't get it in.

That Milodon was installed with the engine out.

If your engine can benefit in some other ways with an engine pull (it can), do the pan gasket at that time.
