Just Moved To Bend, Need Truck Help

So I just moved to Bend from Massachusetts to transfer Marine Corps units. I have limited tools out here and need help getting a caliper bolt off thats stripped. Is there anyone that can help weld a nut on for me, no shops out here help with customer bought parts. Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Hello Anthony. I don't think we have any active members in Bend. But wait until tonight when Cowboylogic57 comes by I think he is in that area and might know some one that can help.

Hi Anthony...welcome to Central Oregon. I'm in Prineville, but I really don't know anyone in Bend that might be able to help you. A quick look at Craig's List Automotive Services showed several mobile mechanics in the Bend area.
What kind of head is it that is stripped? Allen, hex, 12pt? Sometimes you can pound something on tight. Keep soaking it with penetrating fluid. did you get any of the other bolts out? Do you think someone may have put loctite on previously?
Keep us posted.

Hey Anthony, I'm 600+ miles south of you but have a trucking company and we have been hauling out of Bend lately. Had a Freightlier truck broke down and this guy was a huge help, for a fee of course but he may be of great help in your area and have advice that may point you in the right direction! His name was John 541-383-8269 & 541-977-6980. Forgot the shop name he has or works for but he was helpful. Btw cowboylogic57 we are hauling hay out of Prineville as well! Small world! Hello there as well!

Hi Jace2016....my background is in agriculture so I likely know whoever you are hauling for.
Sounds like this John may be a good contact...

Anthony, try hammering a smaller socket (one you don't like preferably) onto the stripped head, once on you should be able to get it out. Be sure to soak it with a good penetrating fluid such as PB Blaster or even a WD40 if that's what you got. A little heat from a torch may help as well if you have access to one.

Hauling from multiple farms this year in that area cowboylogic57. Truck loading in Alfalfa, Oregon in the morning. He's in Bend right now I guess. New here to this and learning as for the forum. Wish I was closer I know I could help Anthony if I was. Thank You for your service Anthony.
