Note: Lift each seal and try to get it on the INSIDE of the seals too! I bought a gallon and use a cloth to rub it in/on with.

Don't forget the slideout sidewall seals too.

I also apply it to the tires too which protects again UV dryness.
Thanks guys... now I'm worried about this too. I'll check it ASAP.
So now the only question I have is, 303 what ??

Sometimes the list of things needing to be done for maintenance can seem a little overwhelming so it helps me to remember it all doesn't have to be at one time (Thank the Lord). I know some folks revel in maintenance work, but I am not one of them.

I would much rather camp than grease wheel bearings!

There's a plethora of things I'd rather do than grease wheel bearings. That and shackle pins.

Many thanks RV tech. I got up on my slides today after reading your post ,and wouldnt you know it the rubber seal was caulked by the factory but it had cracked and pulled away in places. I sealed it up with proflex. I never would have known about this if it werent for your post . Much appreciated, now I will look into the toppers as well

Steve, It's interesting that you mention the drip edge, and Jayco specifically. My 2016 Jayco Eagle HT does in fact have that drip edge piece mounted about four inches above the slide, and extending about 3-4 inches to either end of the slide to direct the water from the roof around the slide rather than directly on to it. I am still reading this thread with interest and am prioritizing the slide toppers along with a stabilizer system like the JT Strongarms and a few other upgrades for the fifth wheel. Thank you for sharing your valuable insight with us so we can learn from the things that others may overlook.
