I was surprised the factory liner came off that easily. Probably a testament to the fine finish of the factory paint. Nothing sticks to it.

But holy smokes! A hand chisel and hammer to scrape off the liners?!? It was too painful to watch. I had to look away.

the only regret I have about the Line-x is that they have to sand off all the new beautiful paint.

You could leave it bare, then sand it off one bit at a time, leg from a couch, bag of sakrete, pallet of pellets, load of mulch, load of firewood, muddy four wheeler, deer blood, dywall for the new bathroom, debris from the old bathroom, dog toe nails. Don't worry, it will sand down nicely by itself!!

I had the TUFF liner in my last three trucks. I slid engine blocks, engine parts and transmissions across those all the time and they looked brand new when hosed off. Its much thicker than the Rhino linings I've seen and the Ford liner for sure. After 178,000 miles and god knows how much **** with nails in it, bolts, etc. it held up beautifully.
