Wrench Light with No Codes

I have a 2010 Expedition with a wrench light on my dash, everything is running fine. I tried to pull codes and nothing came up. Are their codes that Ford Dealers can pull but regular scanners can't?

Any ideas?

"Cheap" scanners generally cannot read "manufacture-specific" fault codes, only the "generic" codes.

Check the documentation for whatever you have reader-wise to see what it's claimed capabilities are supposed to be.

Well they are just SCT programmers. I know they never claimed to have any super DTC capabilities beyond that of a typical cheap scanner.

I ordered an ELM327, should be arriving today. That with free forscan software should work.
