So I'd probably wish I had kept one of my old cars to drive around.
You know, I realized I wanted an old truck not long after my dad sold the 54 Chevy. If my wife's grandpa didn't have his truck at the farm, I probably would never have gotten into this hobby. Since this is a family truck, it makes it easier for me to justify what I do on it.

With my very active family as well as me wanting to run and get in shape, it's more the reverse question. How much time would you spend on your truck if you had more free time? I would say in a year or two when Elizabeth is out of college and Sam is in college with just Sarah at home, I will have a bunch more time.

One of my other hobbies... HAM radios, Firearms, working on a Jukebox, playing with the animals (we have 2 dogs and 3 cats), Pricing things to go into our booth at an Antique Mall, Search on the computer for something to do with my hobbies, I also always find something to Draft, redraft, Design, Spend time with family, also having 2 cars, 3 trucks, a trailer, and a motor cycle to work on... It's summer so working on the vehicle is out, so working on all the others right now, wish I had enough money to keep up with all of them too... I know I've forgotten something, there is something else remembering what I forgot to do the day before!

Since Henry was a very complete, original truck, he doesn't require mush work. But to answer your question, I do have "Madam X" my '77 Hornet AMX that needs a few things to be 100% done. I used to have a system. I'd buy a car and restore it. Then I would drive that one and start another project. When that was completed, I'd sell the driver and the completed project became the driver, and so on. But as I got older, it became harder to do things especially getting down on the ground and back up again. The next house will have a big garage so I can have a lift.

Later!

I would probably hear what my wife is talking about at least the first or second time. I try to listen 'cause she listens to me but the constant loop of truck questions in my head interfere with the process. If I started listening she would probably think I was cheating.

What would I be doing?

Spend too much time at work or working on tractors. here is the last one I restored. I know, I will catch he*%ll for it nor being a Ford. As far as my 51 F3, I am still doing body work on the rear fenders. Not sure I will be able to paint Labor Day weekend.

Or camping, considered becoming a full timer.........and just enjoy building things that are different whether out of metal or wood.

You mean between cutting grass and fixing my old Ford tractor? It`s been raining here most of this summer so it`s almost a full time job.
