My transmission finally quit after 295k today. I have aprox 95k with my bigger injectors and turbo so I'm not verry surprised. I also tow a 25' gooseneck with a 6k LB Skidsteer on it loaded with firewood. I was looking to find out if anyone has talked to BTS lately and knows what there wait time is currently for an appointment? Otherwise I will be needing to find out what the part number is for a HD4R100 is from Ford for my truck so I can get a price. Thanks.

 

Question about how my Trans failed. My Trans worked fine until I started it yesterday and put it in drive. There is nothing at all in drive. If I put it in 1 or 2 it will move but jerky. Is there any way it could be something simple? The Trans fluid is full and looks good and smells normal. Thanks.

 

You may find out who BTS or JW, will send there trans to, to have installed, if wait time exceeds your patience.
. My buddy did just that with JW. Had one sent to local trust shop that JW uses and had trans installed. Price included to/from freight and install wad 500.00

 

I talked to BTS and Ford today. I was surprised that the price for a HD4R100 From Ford and the BTS transmission was not far away $ wise as I would have expected. I am talking with BTS and I think I am going with the BTS. I will ask them tomorrow about them having any trusted shops near me for an install. I would really like to bring my truck to BTS but my truck won't make it out of the driveway with the Trans in this condition. Anyone willing to give me a ride? LOL!
