TTB 44 driveshaft broken - non replaceable U joints?

Hi all, thanks ahead of time. '81 F150 here with, I believe, the usual Dana 44 in front. I managed to snap the yoke loops out on my slip joint pinion (hopefully I've ID'd it right) at the first U joint out of the front differential toward the passenger wheel. As far as I can tell this bearing is staked: no circlips and 'SPICER' in the end caps. It seems like I need to replace the stub shaft and slip yoke in order to replace the u joint BUT of course I can't find one. It seems like DennysDriveshaft carries a pinion yoke that I can't use - mine seems one piece with the stub axle:

http://www.dennysdriveshaft.com/c723_dana_44_ifs_front_ford.html

Rock auto lists axle components but the MFG, standard gear, doesn't list anything for a 44 TTB this old.

Am I **** outta luck? Is it time to start getting silly with remanufacturing this thing?

Jeff's Bronco Graveyard lists RH inner slip yokes for D44 on p.52 of the current catalog.
1980-'83 pn #32052 $89

Shaft/slip yoke ***assembly*** (C-Clip style) pn #30251 $139

I have bought from them before.
Always OEM Dana/Spicer components.

The clips on axle shafts, with the exception of the D50TTB are on the inside of the yoke on these trucks. That joint is perfectly replaceable.
I suggest going with a Spicer life series joint, you'll probably never need to worry about it again.

Maybe I misread the op, but I think he said that the loops were broken off the inner slip yoke..

I posted the yoke itself *and* the complete assembly, because -you know- if one half grenaded the other half is probably trashed anyhow.

30251 doesn't seem to exist anymore. An 80-81 should have the bolt in retainer anyhow, not the c-clip.

I really don't know enough about the older trucks to say what's right.
I'm just quoting from my printed catalog.

here's the page online: Dana 44 Axle Shafts-Broncograveyard.com

80-82/3 uses a pressed on bearing and seal, with a bolt on retainer, very similar to a 9"

That is the bearing/seal/retainer. I'm not having luck finding the shaft. JBG used to have it.

Clips on the inside?? I think you just made my weekend, will poke around better in the morning. I share the worry about damage to the stub side yoke but I'll see when I get it cleaned off. Thanks guys.

Nice, I had no idea where to look for the seal.

This is a 60, a 44 is the same but smaller.

Hope that helps.
