And the trans was replace before I got it. Fluid is clean and red/pink in color. And doesn't smell burnt. What is the OP?

Update. I ordered the Bluetooth adapter. But there is another problem. Know this just started yesterday evening. When the trans is cold you have all gears. But know when it get warmed up you lose high gear but at times you can feel and see the tach showing it trying to go into high gear. What would cause this? Would the solenoid pack in trans going bad do this? Thanks

Solenoid pack could cause these symptoms, but it sounds more like your Torque Converter is slipping. We'll be able to help you much more when you can get the codes if there are any.

Ok the Bluetooth adapter will be here Sat. As far as the lost of high gear found the problem it was the plug end for the solenoid was partly unplugged. Plugged it back in and has high gear again. Will let everyone know what it say after I scan it. Thanks

Does you adapter have any lights on it to verify that your OBDII port has power? Does your cigarette lighter work, (have power) as it is on the same fuse as the OBDII port?

Here is the steps I use with my BAFX Bluetooth adapter:

I first plug the adapter in
Then turn the truck key to on.
Open Torque Pro.
Then with my old Samsung phone, I had a pairing request on my phone where I had to enter the 1234 PIN. The blue Bluetooth adapter icon would be solid (my LG phone remembered the PIN after the first time I paired with it).
Then Torque would scan all protocols and use the J1850 to talk to the truck.
And then the car icon would stop flashing. It takes about 20 to 30 seconds to connect for me.

I have my Bluetooth turned off on my phone by default and have Torque Pro setup to turn on Bluetooth when needed.

I have had trouble in the past when my phone was paired to other things while trying to connect to the Bluetooth adapter and my truck.

Kevin
