You mentioned that your EBPV stuck closed and you wired it open. Sure seems like more than a coincidence that it was stuck. If it somehow got stuck closed again that would sure explain no power and no boost. Just clutching at straws...
It is still wired open. I double checked that one. I checked map lines, all clear. At idle is there supposed to be a very slight vacuum on map line??? Unplugged map and no change idling or driving.
Ok, update! Checked icp connection for oil, all clean and dry. Took off valve covers and re-torqued injectors after a good couple whacks on each with rubber hammer there was 2 able to be re-torqued. Put back toget her and ran but still same problem- no boost, no power, lots black smoke when I get on it. I did find what looked like metal sludge in IC pipe just after turbo going into pipe ( it was a very fine silvery sludge then there was some regular oil)
Is that turbo failure? But it spins so freely?? There is still up and down movement but no in and out movement
I am pulling my hair out on this one.
It feels a little like it can touch the sides but the guys at BD Turbos said that was normal when the bearings get pressurized it should go away. But an old turbo I have off a '99 you can't move the wheel up and down that much and that one is stock. The silvery sludge has me concerned.
You have 2 trucks? Did I read that correctly when you said that unplugging the MAP made no difference in the way it drives or idles? Unplugging the MAP should throw a CEL and not allow it to fuel properly. IE; would be fine idling and have no power while driving....
Yes, I have two trucks the one pictured in my signature and a 1997 which is the one giving me the problem. When I did unplug sensor the idle did not changet and I did drive it while unplugged no difference. But it never threw CEL??? When unplugged.
