E-350 1987 motorhome, turns signal, hazards and cruise control gone
Hi guys,
Me again... after 3000km with the motorhome graciously due to your help, here's another one.
Yesterday was a long transport day *850km*.
200km before my destination I stop for gas.
At this time, everything was working just fine.
After fueling, come on the highway and to my surprise, turn signals don't work... neither is cruise control or hazards.
This morning I start searching and found out where the hazard and turn signal switch are and took them out to test and replaced them.
Now, the hazards seem to work (with engine off) but no turn signals.
With the key on, I get 12V on the hazard switch (which should be on all the time)
but no voltage at all at the Turn signal switch.
Am I right to be scared it's the mechanical switch on the steering column?
If so, I do I take it appart? it seems stuffed in a metal cylinder without any screws to take it apart...
Do I have to take the steering wheel completely off?
BTW, does the motor actually have to run for the flashers to work??
Thanks
Phil

Update:
Forget all this...
there are 2 fuses to take care of:
Fuse #7 for the hazards
Fuse #10 for the turn signals.
When I first tested all fuses for continuity, only fuse #7 was bad... fuse #10 has continuity.
I still pulled it out as i couldn't find why the turn signal switch didn't have 12V. when looking at it in the light, the filament was blown... perhaps a piece was still there giving conductivity at first.
Now the big question. Why would both hazards and turn signal fuse blow at the same time?
Thanks again for your time!!
