1987 Econline 350 7.5 Ltr RV

Hi Folks,

I have a Triple E RV that is built on a 1987 Econline 350 7.5 Ltr Van. My temp gauge is not working and try as I might I cant locate the Coolant temperature sensor that send the signal to the dash. Does anyone have a picture or a diagram or can walk me through it. I also have a second question. On the a small coolant hose going to the heater core on the passenger side of the engine compartment (My model has the cab A/C) there is a vacuum activated switch (controlled by HVAC controls) that has a valve that either allows the coolant to flow through it or closes to shut off the flow of coolant. Anyone know what this is for (IE cooling or heating) and the position (open or closed) it should be it reference the controls. Also what happens if it is stuck open or closed as mine sticks it seems.

Thanks all
