Encho: Attached is the "Initial TIming Set Procedure for Distributor Ignitions" page from my Ford "1995 Service Manual Powertrain Control/Emissions DIagnosis Car/Truck On Board Diagnostics I - July 1994"

It is interesting in that initial timing must be done with the SPOUT jumper removed.

Very common....

"initial timing" is really the the only timing done manually, the PCM takes it from there.

I went right back at trying to start my Bronco after I abandoned it for 2 years. I was too tired of fixing things so I bought a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero with low miles which has been a blessing so far, little to no issues. Finally made a breakthrough and found the problem is caused by a failure in the fuel delivery system. I tested the ignition throughly and it is working as it should, poured fuel through the TB and the engine started and ran briefly a minute or so out of a small hose/fuel can combo.

In the following days I'll try replacing the fuel pump with a complete Motorcraft assembly, will also have a look, maybe even replace the Fuel Pressure Regulator too. Tried a Bosch fuel pump and new filter (the original one was completely clogged) to no avail. I initially completely overlooked the fuel delivery since the filter and Motorcraft pump were less than a year old when I parked the truck, didn't consider the fuel they're selling in Venezuela is utter trash. Maybe there are even more problems with the fuel delivery system steeming from this bad fuel mess. I'll try to replace all the fuel in the tank with fresh fuel (it's ridiculously inexpensive here).

Encho,

Hang in there ,I feel your pain., my 92 has had some pretty tricky problems to diagnose over its life time .Recently a hesitation which turned out to be a vacuum leak from the tad tab solenoids I did away with.(Forgot to unhook the bottom line and plug completely).Recently changed the Pricey-Fuel pump( motor craft) .Waiting to see what it does to the values of our truck s when the new Broncos hit the market.(Especially the first generation) .Good luck TR
