Transmission slipping

Transmission slipping
Looking for some help. My tranny is acting odd. I put in drive and seems to slip a lot in 1st, barely even move at some times. If I put it in 1st with the shifter it goes in and grabs then I can shift up to 2nd or drive and there aren't problems. It drives normally when not from dead stop.
Transmission has 50k miles on it since replacement. Fluid level is normal. I don't tow and drive it particularly hard. I will have to go back and look at miles since last fluid change. I should be right around 30k miles since last change.
Any thoughts or trouble shooting ideas?

I don't have a PSI gauge to use... What do you think it could be? I also notice it works to put in drive and the issue is mainly going from reverse to drive. It works fine when I start from park but not reverse to park... drives normal when it gets going or when from park...

Something is wrong.
Without data that's about as specific as I can get. I'm fairly confident a complete rebuild will fix it. With data it I might have a suggestion that is a lot less expensive.

Well since you can't get any information to help diagnose what's wrong, I'll have to make an educated guess based on what I know about your trans.

Here is a visual aid to assist with the test Mr. K talked about above. Post your results and he is always willing to provide input based on results.
I will add, when the plug is placed back into the transmission, use a thread sealer (NOT PIPE DOPE - I've seen that before) to prevent it from loosening over time.

I ended up taking truck to local shop, I've been traveling and kids keep me busy so let someone else try. Shop recommending rebuild based on the pressure line test results:
park 60PSI
1st 105PSI
reverse 60PSI
No stall test do to results at idle.
The rebuild is $2,670 out the door plus tax. Includes the following upgrades:
Timken bearing kit
Hayden Automotive 679 Rapid-Cool Plate and Fin Transmission Cooler
rear main seal
Board Warren ? clutch plates (couldn't find with a quick look so spelled wrong)
torque converter has asbestos - said it was better than stock
shift kit
Thoughts on moving forward with rebuild?
