I would appreciate any help on this, my expedition has left me broke. I replaced the intake manifold last week and put all new coils on at the same time. I drove it for a week and on the way home today it started to lose power. It lost more and more power and wouldn't take throttle until it finally stalled. Now it will run extremely rough for a second and cut back off and won't start again. I can hear the fuel pump, all coil packs and injectors are connected with no leaks. No vacuum leaks anywhere. Pulled the plug on the fuel rail, its full of fuel. Please please please help.

 

Have you checked for codes and fuel pressure with a gauge?

 

It's not throwing any codes, dumb question, can I check fuel pressure without it running?

 

Yes..........cycle the key.

 

You'll need a fuel pressure tester.

 

I'll test the pressure tomorrow, just replaced the camshaft sensor and cleaned the maf sensor, trucks starts and runs for a second then dies. Still no codes. I'll let y'all know what I find, I appreciate the help.

 

Weak fuel pump, bad fuel regulator, bad crankshaft position sensor...just to name a few possibilities.

 

Replaced crankshaft sensor, fuel pump is under warranty since I replaced it last year. Getting regulator and fuel pump tomorrow. I'm picking up a pressure tester too. Hopefully she will be running tomorrow. I'll let y'all know.

 

Ended up being a bad fuel pump, I replaced it a year ago so it was under warranty. It had enough strength to prime but couldn't hold pressure.

 

That was fortunate.
