390 Power Steering Assm.

So it has been over two years since I disassembled my motor and I can't for the life of me figure out how to put together the PS assembly. I've got the horse shoe bracket back on the pump, but I can't figure out how it was put together so that I could adjust the slack in the belt. Does anyone have a picture of the assembly so that I can get this back the way it should be?

Thanks in advance.

I have a pic of the PS setup on a 69 I know the newer ones are different but It depends on which one you have on there. Nice looking engine what valvecovers are those?

Thanks for the compliment. The truck is really to be one heck of a project. The valve covers are FRPP COBRA LeMans which are still in the Ford catalog.

Originally this pump came with brackets in the back ( I believe where I adjusted the tention) and the horse shoe which bolts to the front of the pump. Since this is a FE, I'm pretty sure the rear bracket bolts to the water pump. I was concerned about this old pump turning the 33x12.50's I currently have and I know I will go bigger one day, so I jumped up to a Saginaw pump. I found this site that showed how to do it. But, when trying to assemble it together, I just can't figure it out. I'd appreciate the picture if you have it. Here is a link to the pump I had and the pump I now have. Thanks for you help!

See if this helps at all:

FE With PS

There are several pictures there, if you back down to the directory "F100" all of the pictures with "360" are engine pictures.

Great pics. Looks like a good paint job on the motor too! My ps pump does not have that setup unfortunately.

Thanks! Got the pics. That is the pump I had but that isn't the bracket. If the 460 has the same pump, I'd be interested in looking at that.
