Im looking to try and figure out what color my truck is. I know its not a repaint, as it is the original paint.. Maybe a factory repaint...? Help please.. I would like to touch up some spots ie. Brow and rust spots. Thanks!Name: image.jpeg

Post up a picture of the warranty plate on the drivers door below the latch area and we can decode it all for you. Assuming the color code is not blank it should answer the question.

Appears that the color code is blank. I took it to the local paint house in town and they pulled out a color sample booklet for the 66 mustang and said it looked like a faded sahara beige... the only trouble I had with that was that this truck sat in a barn for 35 years...

And Sahara Beige is a truck color so the code would not be blank if it was a standard truck color (generally speaking). Post up the warranty plate anyway and we can figure out what you've got there. Sometimes there are hints as to what it was not at least.

Ah, I see the codes you typed - good. That is odd they picked the Ranger interior but went with the 240 base engine.

Sold through the Seattle district sales office.

I was a special order from the 6 digits, but there is no info on what that means. Being a Ranger doesn't make it special order, but a non-standard color could do that.

If someone offered me north of $20,000 for that truck I'd have to give it serious thought. That's good money.

Is the original owner around still? I asked the original owner of my truck when I bought it from him and luckily he remembered what it was. Otherwise, I can't think of a 100% way of knowing.

Do you think there would be a possible list of "special order" colors out there for the 1966 fords?

Not that I'm aware of...as there could be 100's of different special order colors from all the auto makers.

1966 Ford Ranger that is a very clean and straight looking truck. I have the same interior as yours and the same rear end as well. My truck was butchered years ago and was wondering if you could post a pic of your interior. I will gladly share pictures of mine once I figure how to get them out of my phone
