Factory Radio: Removal

.
I've got the 4 mounting screws removed and the radio pulled out just past the 2 location pins.
That's as far as it comes out without being rough with it.

Is there a trick to removing the radio?
.

Did you check the back of the radio for another blot/bracket that supports the back?

All factory radio installations I have seen have got some method to support the back; some have got sort-of spring clips that clamp onto dashboard infrastructure (depicted with a sawzall blade) some have got nylon "sliders" that glide over some other infrastructure in there.

My guess is you need to just pull harder.

Pull harder indeed it was ...

That (strong) spring clip attached at the bottom rear of the radio chassis required a hefty pull to disengage from the dashboard.

Many thanks,

Welcome. I'm just glad some PO didn't phuque with ya and attach it in the rear in some way that kept it from coming out the front.

That phone has got a LOUD brass bell that can overcome the 30" shop fan + the music.

(So does ours. Used to hook it up during power outages in the winter up until a few years ago.
Between that and the woodstove, we were good to go)

Good job! I'm shocked at how many people I come across that can't deal with not having things like electricity or hot, running water.
