Shopping for a new head unit is a hassle.

Burning CDs is so 2001.

Morning Ken, Rob, Bud.

Pat - yeah, especially with Truck Nationals this weekend. Though, a little bit of overcast helps me at times with a black truck.

Derek - I have a ton of music on MP3 now, can't even recall the last time I used a CD in a vehicle. I need to finish upgrading my stereo in my OBS though.

I use an old iPod, which used to be wired into the headunit in my Miata so it stayed in the glovebox and was controlled by the stereo. I want that functionality again, coupled with Bluetooth streaming and control from my android phone for Pandora and Spotify. A front 3.5mm and/or USB AUX in is a bonus but not required.

I also don't like 7 segment displays, that's a big issue.

Morning Derek. I have my stuff on an MP3 player now, but, it's full. I'm going to be getting a new Iphone here in the next week or so, the plan is to go ahead and put it all on the phone, since it has a lot more room for it.

Any headunit these days has a 3.5mm input on the front. It's super easy to play music from any device with a cord that has 3.5mm male jacks on both ends. Almost every new car has a 3.5mm input.

I'm picky, I want to be able to control the devices from the headunit.

I have just the stock system in the 06, can't control the MP3 from it. Maybe when I get the 67 done, I should have a better system.

I've got the full blown system in the Bull - touch screen head unit, Rockford amps, all new speakers, subwoofer, etc., and can control anything from it. The OBS just has an aftermarket Sony head unit, but I have parts to do an overhaul on it. That's coming soon - as 2 of my speakers are dead.

Morning folks and happy hump day. Inching closer to Truck Nationals, trying to wrap all that up and in the meantime take care of a million things at work.
