I don't know if this will help or not, but Rancho lists lift kits for Ford trucks all the way back to the mid 60's for some applications.

Rancho's application Guide
http://www.gorancho.com/documents/suspension.pdf

Skyjacker also lists apps back into the 60's

Could try Superlifts.
superlift.com/print/application_guide/kit-ford.pdf
(Links not comming in right, but it's the right address)

Other lift company's include:
Explorer Pro Comp
Fabtech

You might be able to find them on the web.

If they fail, you may have to custom fab something yourself, say from a bronco kit, a later Ford truck kit, or something. I don't know if it can be done or not, never heard of it being done, but it's an option you can look into.

Skyjackers master catalog has a listing for70-72 f150 4x4 for 2,4,6,9in lifts. And it is printed 150 and not 100 for some reason. And 67-77.5 they have a 2 and 4in for the 250 4x4. I listed both didn't know if we were lookin for a 100 or a 250 4x4. I have called all around about lifts for my 70 and all I found was the 4in skyjacker, anything taller whould have to fabbed up at a spring shop.

where to find lift kits

I'm in the same boat! looking for a 6-8 inch lift kit (or springs rather) and have only found the skyjacker 4 inch for $1000. I got a 73-75 F-250 (not sure what year exactly, title says its a 72, but body, bed, and clip is 73+) 4x4 highboy and I've seen lots of these trucks lifted far more than 4 inches. But everytime I ask about them, no one seems to know. its almost like a conspiracy..i mean, did they take the vow of silence when they bought it???. ugh, well i guess im gonna have to go all block lift. stack 3- four inchers on the front and rear axles, that should clear the 40's i always wanted. haha j/k guys, I really want to eliminate the blocks altogether and do it right, but I want to save money by not buying brand name products ya know?. The priority is getting the front lifted cause Im probably gonna get a set of those reversed hangers for the rear which gives 4.5 inches by itself.

Another question..Are the F-2/350 front and/or rear leaf springs from 78 79's compatible? Cause I see tons of those trucks lifted beyond 8 inches around here.

and since we're at it, Anyone know what kind of Daystar shackles would work with the front leaf springs?

Any and all info would be much appreciated by all of us wanting to lift our trucks.

-Thanks
Angel

Skyjacker shows a 9" lift for an 66-79 F150 4wd (sky179pk) Maybe this could (or has been ) converted over to fit your 250. Looks like a combination of blocks and plates tho.

The 100 or labled as a 150 is coils not leafs like the 250 so that lift dosen't work. I talked to a store about the softride shackles and they said there is not an application for these trucks but I have a buddy that ordered some for a newer ford and I'm gonna check em out and if they can be made to work I'll let all of you in on it. About the 78-79 leafs-- I think their and inch or 1/2in narrower so they won't work. You could always hack off your hangers on the front and mabey weld the 78-79 ones on there and use the springs then, not sure about lenths though.-------------------Looking at the skyjacker catalog the 67-77.5 4in front lift leafs for the highboy are the same springs as the ones for a 77.5-79 6in lift for a lowboy. Same part #. Hmmm ok so mabey the springs in the front from the 67-77.5 match the ones on a 77.5-79 but just must give you diff lift so knowing that we should be able to find a 6+ lift for the front of a 77.5-79 and install it on an earlier model. Ok and the skyjacker is a 2in difference with the same springs so a 10 in lift for a 79 lowboy whould be a 8in lift for a 71 highboy. Does everyone agree?

460 Crew sounds like you are on to something with the 10 inch lift I will have to check into it especially if the lift springs are the same for the diff style trucks it has to work I don't see why it would be any diff lift though going that route if they are the same thing it should give the same lift the shackles have to be mounted the same distance appart or a longer or shorter spring would need to be used get where I am going with this so I think that should work. thanks for the good info I will let you all know how it goes with the lift.

So, does the 4" suspension lift from Skyjacker add an extra 4" to the factory highboy, like my 71 F250? I'm only hoping to clear 35 or 36's. Thanks.

Thanks! Now if I can just bring myself to pay almost 1,000 dollars for a lift, I'll be set.
