Looks great , Do what makes you happy , I would change the pipes , But if you like them keep them , as long as they work you can take your time

trying to decide between these two logos.....i think the round one looks more period correct

I agree with your choice. In the day, those were typically hand painted with simple fonts. If you wish, adding the historic phone number can add some charm without cluttering (ie: BR 549).

Here is a pair of doors that I got off a 56 F100 that was a local parts store delivery truck. Back in the day a manufacturer would paint their logo and your business name on your truck free of charge. The business name has since faded but it used to read E&M Auto Parts. I always liked the logo and thought that someday I might use these on a "survivor" truck. If I had your truck and was ready to change the door art I would definitely consider a logo as part of the design...

nice looking '53! There's a big show out there once per year that I made it to last year......other than that I am at Cary on Wed., Broken Oar on Tuesdays ( nice place to hangout!), sometimes Barrington on Thursdays, McHenry on Mondays...hope to see your truck out sometime!

I took the "Howard Racing" off and I will probably take my time looking for a cool logo to put on it, but for now she'll go El natural!
