Talking Makin' it Work!!

Ya know ya got a load in your 3/4 ton truck when it starts to sit down on its haunches. And when the truck is in its 60s, it just shows the young 'us how it's done!

I have filled Grover's bed clear full of old shingles from re-roofing my house. Bad thing is, I still have more to pile in, but I don't think I have any room!

Yes, I'm bragging.

Hahahaha! I guess if your rims aren't touching the road yet you could always put on stake sides.

Go to the lumber yard and get a lumber cover or two. Lay that out in the bed before the next load goes in. Makes unloading a bit easier. I do that with my one trailer I have. Two guys can pull about 3 sq. of shingles out all at once. Make layers with more L/C's. They're built ford tough back in the day too. A sq. of shingles weighs about 240 lbs.

We're not that far apart. I live in Whitesburg. I've been through Paris many times.

Oh, ye of little faith! Here are pictures!

What you see is actually the mess left behind after my roof was re-shingled by a bunch of guys from church a few years ago. I could not do it myself because of what turned out to be severe arthritis in my knees. The mess was supposed to be cleaned up afterwards by the young men in my church, but that didn't happen. Well, since that time both of my knees have been replaced, and a bit more than a year after the second knee became bionic I finally felt up to cleaning the mess up myself.

There is still some mess to clean up. The only question is whether or not I have room in the bed for the rest of the mess.

I'm waiting to hear back from Woodford County Middle School on a teaching job I applied for there. If I get it, that could make getting together easier!

Ever been through North Middletown? About halfway between Mt. Sterling and Paris? That's where I am.

Not that I recall. I used to have a friend in Cynthiana that I hunted with a lot. I used to pass through Paris on my way to his house. You should come to Truckstock down in Tennessee in September. Not that far for you.

Yes, you teachers have a lot of free time, don't you! Summers off, working from 8:00-3:00.... LOL

Good luck on the job search. Hope you get it!
