g-05 gold coolant in a 00 6.8L that had oe green coolant

I've forgotten if the g-05 gold coolant is safe to run(after a full flush) in a early model 00 v10 that came with green coolant from the factory. I know I saw it on here somewhere. tia

Why do you want to change to gold stuff? I always prefer to flush everything out and go with the green stuff as it's cheap and easy to come by.

i just did a complete flush and replaced my radiator last week. the only thing my Haynes manual stated was to not mix orange and green coolant. based on that after a complete flush, i think it is safe to say you can use either one as long as it meets specs

I'm getting ready to replace all the hoses on my 00 v10 and was contemplating switching over to gold but I'm not sure I want to hassle with the whole flush.
green has served me just fine for 185K.
plus I'm getting burnt out on working on the truck after everything I've done to it along with todays new coil spring swap.

I have 150k miles and swapped radiator's last weekend, flushed and changed from green to gold on my 99 V10. In theV10 section I had a thread and it was the recommended thing to do.

You will need about 3-4 gallons of concentrate.
