F-250/F-350 Alcoa wheels

My truck has the factory alcoas but the center caps are long gone. What has anybody done to spruce these up? I thought about painting the hub with some satin black paint then getting the long lug nuts instead of the other open nut style! Are the long closed end lug nuts ok to use?

I was thinking they weren't made anymore. I'll have to look on there. Are they NOS or repros?

Most are repop as they don't have the ford oval on them. If they do have the Ford oval there NOS.

I just painted the hubs flat black and put on the long closed lug nuts.

I ditched the rusty, dented caps on mine and did just what you suggested: painted the hubs and used closed-end lug nuts. Until I had a wheel fail, then I went with steelies and painted them black.

The hub caps on ebay are all chrome, didn't they originally have the Ford oval blue instead?

They are plastic caps, I am curious as to how your caps rusted

No BLUE oval. Just all chrome with oval and ford script inside it

Most repop offerings have no oval or ford script.
