Military Bronco

I found the pictures of the Bronco I drove for my commander
in Germany back in 1970. I'm not up to posting. You may email me.
I'll email it back. JRTLJT031648@ATT.NET

What's an advert and the meaning of the kneeslap ? I'm into restoring vehicles.
Hot rods and rest-o-mods are a drag.

W E L C O M E !! 2 THE FORUM

1) it means advert(izement) as used by some of the population in colloquial language & a comrade building sense.

2) when clicking on the 1st of your 2 links it brought me to an advertisement. You have very little identifying information in your post. There has been commercial use of the forum. I grouped you among those.

The 2 emojies R 4 emphasis of intent. I just responded to two of these adverts. The 'dunce cap' indicates I've again been duped and the 2nd is a sign of good natured fun ("I've been taken again." ha, ha). Sorry for any offense. None intended. As may B seen the opposite is the objective, glad for ur Q & the opportunity to comment further on it… My idea (& possibly yours w/further detail - missing in the earlier post). "Joining" rather than some opposite action.

* Glad for your choice in product. I am some1 who enjoys (no need for total concourse correct) mid '30s - very early '50s American automobiles. I come frm a family who enjoys these over -for example- a truck with candy purple metal fleck frame, jacked up to show his buddies.
For me? it's amazing, some of the cost, detail, fabrication, skill, time etc that go into it, but not something for me to own or seek out to observe, visit and hold up as something to emulate. Now seeing the cloth covering on a restored '35 Ford Tudor, the mechanical workings of the breaks, etc is more interesting…
4 me.

Glad there's chocolate'n vanilla - we can have all sorts of folks in this worl !

How bout U?

I don't recall any links other then my email address. I have no links, no Facebook etc.
I don't recall how to post pictures to the Forum. Therefore, I gave my e-mail address.
Nothing more.
I'm not up to the modern terms you use. I am also not into street rods etc. My F-150 was
a street rod with 8" wide tires on spoked rims. I sold them. The Smitties are gone too.
Have a nice day.

1st of 2 links

I believe I clicked on the underlined "back in Germany in 1970".

Not the email.

At any rate…can you tell me how many (not specific numbers) Broncos were in the pool on your base at that time. Was it just the one?

Thanx ~

We had a pair of them. They were not OD but OG. Tires were snow tires.
The seats were Mustang buckets. I can email pictures of it.

military v civie bronks

OK, I think I 'get it' now. For us less monetarily endowed the site has adds (short for advertisements) and I think I clicked on one it that original post of urs…

So now it's my turn to say "I don't get the lingo". OD vs OG (official government?) I put no time in the service.

The seats were standard thru out the line (from what I hear abt these service bronks not much was done to most of them. Some were painted and outfitted with equip. but not the type of changes U C customizers do now).

After all a bronk is just a 4WD 'stang. The seat, when 'bench' style, fit in a falcon too.

My original email was aimed at collectors of military vehicles. Perhaps there is a heading
on this forum dedicated to 67 Ford Broncos built for the military.
OD means olive drab as on M-151s and other tactual vehicles.
OG means olive green as on Army sedans.

2 military bronks

Dept of the Navy had blue.

May B U need a referal 2 1 of the bronk exclusive sites - classic broncos dot com? There are some threads on there, that's where (I think) I saw the navy one (1 pic showed the manaf's ID plate showing "for: Dept of Navy") , another (may B it wuz "Bronco Driver" mag?) had an army 1 that wuz fancied up for parade duty where there wuz a "hang on bar" (head high to the driver) so the top brass could stand in the back as it double stepped to the crowds… I think both were state side only but it's so long ago I read them may B wrong.
