F250/Bronco single fuel tank conversion
So... I've given up trying to make the two tank system work on my '89 F250. I purchased a 33 gallon Bronco tank and I'm in the process of mounting it. I got the fuel pump for the '89 Bronco which is supposed to be a direct fit and went to mount it. The mount plate for the new fuel pump is much smaller and has 3 terminals instead of the 4 pin connector (?) I've gone to Summit, Napa, OReilys and they all show the small plate, 3 pin pump as being the correct unit. Now what?! Has anyone done this conversion before and run into the same issue? Words of wisdom? Set the truck on fire and dance around it???

I think you want the 90-96 pump with the 3 5/8" bung instead of the 2" 87-89.

That fuel pump is for a fuel system without the on the rail pump. That pump is a high pressure pump. The stock pump in an 89 fuel tank is a low pressure with the on the rail pump pushing it higher in PSI. You would have to delete the on the rail pump plus I am not sure if the wiring is the same.
I always thought the 3 prong style ones were just a sending unit for carbed engine but I might be wrong.
