If my budget would allow for something like that, I'd do it. Realistically, I'll probably buy another Trans Am and drop a newer LSx into it or get a Mustang of some sort and pull the 5.0L out of a wrecked S197 or S550 Mustang for it.

I have had my 99 ,V10 , scsb with a manual 5 speed, for 3 years now.
It took me 3 years to find the V10 with the manual trans and the package I wanted.
Unfortunately it did come in Black, but it looks killer , and has been a great truck.
The company I work for , does heavy civil construction, builds dams, bridges , etc.
All of the other guys drive the Cummins , I am the only one with a gas or a Ford .
I many times have to haul equipment and supplies , and my fuel bill has always been less than the others , and when the Secretary asks why, the owner always laughs , and says I am able to fly like the wind with that Damn ford.
I do have 35's and 3:73 gears , but empty I pull a consistent 14 mpg .
When I say empty, it means I usually have 5-7 hundred pounds in the bed , and 2 dogs that weigh 35 pounds each.
Loaded with 12.000 pounds on the back, mileage is around 7 at 65-70 mph.
I have put 25k miles a year on this truck, and have had only a couple of actual issues, a/c compressor went out , I have replaced front breaks , and the sector shaft developed a crack.
I don't believe the sector shaft was caused by the over size tires, as I have read many of the early shafts were weak, and there was a design change, mid year .
I have also replaced the tires, this will be my second set, Cooper Mud Claws .
I drive a mix of hiway , gravel and improved roads , Snow and ice in winter , heat of summer.
I love this truck , and will most likely have it until the day I die.
I had a 94 Ranger , with the 4.0 that I put 568.000 miles on , and it was a fantastic truck.
I just wanted more room, towing capacity and a Super Duty .
