My thoughts are with you. I agree that the medical technology is amazing. They took my fathers heart out and set it next to him while they worked on it......Twenty five years ago. They tell him at eighty seven years old that the mechanical valve is the best part of him.

Many prayers to you on a quick recovery. My neighbor just had a knee replacement 5 weeks ago, today i noticed him digging a trench in his front yard to replace an electrical line.

What time of day is your surgery John, I'll be sure to pray for you and think of you while I'm out in the shop. Like many have said the recovery time now is speedy, I was talking with a guy who was walking on crutches and when I asked him how long it was when he had his surgery he said 2 days ago and that was 15 years ago , they use some sort of super glue...

Good luck! Definitely follow their directions. I had a patient get a hip replacement a few weeks ago. They had him up and walking on it within just a matter of a few hours.

I had it done about 10 years ago, you will find it is life changing surgery, you will be practically pain free and doing the things you used to do with in a couple of weeks
