Touching tribute to him.

As for the scratches, I would be inclined to try a polisher first, just to see if it can do it without having to take the chance on wet sanding. The general rule is if you dont catch you fingernail in them they can be "buffed" out. If you can then odds are you are in for a deeper repair. There are some half decent repair kits out there now days.

Bio, sorry to hear of your brother. Im sure he was proud of you before he passed, and would be pleased with your efforts to follow his wishes for his final resting place. My hat is off, and my heart goes out, to you, good sir... be proud, and find peace.

Glad to see you making progress on the final details on the truck. The last 'punch list' is a challenge on a project like this, when it runs and you JUST WANNA DRIVE IT! Drive it every day, every where, for any reason you can dream up!

The family went to a car show last night. The 3 year old is more of a car guy than me! He ran from car to car pointing and exclaiming, "This one, Dadda! This one! That cool!" Wife enjoyed hanging out in the shade of the Redneck Limousine, explaining the build process to attendees, and the older kids had fun wandering around with their friends

It's not often that I park next to a truck that makes mine look small!

That stretched suburban is bonkers big!

Here's a cool quick video of the show by The No-Handed Bandit. (He's an awesome, motivated dude. Check out his Instagram and YouTube channels.)

I have to wonder what that GMC truck is powered by (and how big his ***** is, JK)? It can't possibly be the 366 or 427 gas burners from that era of GM's medium duty lineup, so I'm going to have guess a non-OEM Cummins (because that seems to be the cool thing to do in truck world). I can't see it being powered by the CAT 3208 or Detroit 8.2L Penny Pincher either.

That looks like an International Harvester grill on that Suburban. Those tires are huge!

Welp! It's confirmed: I need to flush the oil cooler.

We drove the 50 mile freeway drive to my mother-in-law's house yesterday in mid 90s heat and the ECT stayed under 200 while the EOT slowly climbed to 137. Do you guys have a recommended source for oil cooler flush plates?

My daughter sent me this pic the other day. It was parked at the local amusement park, Lagoon. This one has 6 doors AND it's extended behind the back door!

I have this one sitting in my garage. Haven't had the time to install it yet but my deltas are still ok but growing.

IMHO, the extra extension behind the back door takes away from the looks. Just doesn't look as OEM as yours.

Agreed. He must have been a previous Dodge Mega Cab owner.

Personally, I see zero benefit to the so called mega cab configuration, which seems to come at the expense of reduced bed space. Ditto for their side storage compartments.

Wonder what's back there, is it just more leg room kind of "limo style" or is it just for storage, maybe a sleeping area?

Seems like a lot of work for a rear shelf for those in the back back seats.
