Yes, about that. That's about as close to home as we ever camp. Anything under 4 hours and I just want to go home LOL.

Wow, looks like great big rig access..........................But I hate that they bulldoze the trees to get it and leave you stranded in full sun. Seems that sooo many places with pull throughs do that. But I have to imagine summer in Maine isn't that hot.

One more thing..............Can you close that stupid banner at the top of their website? I hate those damn things!

I'm going to try to pull this off! Wife will be off for the summer, I get my 3rd week of vacation next year and baby will be very close to a year old. 582 miles is cake, google says 9 hours and 12 minutes.

Scott, it's not hot and there will be plenty of cold beer to keep you at the right temp. Heck, Monty's been known to bring the shine too... Really though, that's awesome that you're thinking you can make it. This years was fantastic and I get the feeling it's going to grow from here...

OK, so another thought. This is part of the Encore chain which is a huge corporate network of RV parks. I doubt they will do a no money hold on a block of sites like Sherwood did for Roy. So, what I'm thinking is this. Their cancellation fee is only $25. So, anyone even remotely interested in going next year should just book ASAP. It's better to have the reservation and have to loose $25 to cancel if neccessary than to be scrambling at the last minute and have nothing available. Maine coastal parks book up early. I am going to call tomorrow AM and get the low down. If they tell me that I can't block sites like Roy did, I'm just going to book my site for the week. Then it's up to everyone else to do the right thing and get their site or cabin booked right away.

I've got shine here at the house. I try to make my buddies drink it, I got the stuff in NC years ago and its still lurking around the bar! I stay away from liquor, last time I forgot that rule I fell down the basement steps and sprained my ankle. I also forgot most of the night. The wife got me to try wine, seems I'm a sucker for the fruity girly ones.

It looked like a great time for sure! Though the pics could be better with a few more duallies!

Just looked their rates - guess I'm out of touch - $65-124 per day depending on the site. I pay $35 where I am now. But it's ocean view so I guess that's worth something.

Looks like they are already running our of sites for next year - many dates seem to be blocked already. Or am I missing something?

I bet that's true. A lot of very good campgrounds book one season ahead. Folks stay once then book for, next year.
We have done that with Disney World.

Maybe you are looking at July of 2016. On my end, July of 2017 is still greyed out and can't be selected as a valid check in date.

I thought I was in 2017 and I went through the booking process - I'll go back and double check.

We've been seeing a lot of rates in that range anymore down here in PA Shawn. "RV resort" means they can charge more................. I think even the PA state parks are now up to $42 or 46 a night for full hookup sites. The COE campgrounds are a bit cheaper, but most aren't full hookup.

If your seeing the dates greyed out that means that they aren't accepting reservations yet. They turn black when they are reserve-able. Anything over a year is not yet reserve-able so currently the furthest out you can book is July 11th. You can't book our week in 2017 until the same week in 16 or later online...
