Anyone in the Memphis, TN - Coldwater, MS area to look at a truck
Anyone in the Memphis, TN/Coldwater, MS area that would be willing to look at a truck for me? I would be willing to Paypal you some money for fuel and lunch for your trouble.
The truck is 2006 F250 6.0 with about 65K on it. The dealer that has sent me a bunch of pictures but I would really like someone with 6.0 knowledge to take a look.
Anyone interested let me know and I'll PM you the link.

That would be great! The dealer seems to be straight forward and they pointed out a few paint bubbles on the passenger rear wheel area (they know I'm from Ohio and have huge concerns over rust).
But I would really like someone to do a cold and hot start and check the deltas on it. Hate to fly done there to found out the thing has all sorts of issues. I'll PM you the link to the dealer.

A couple of things concerns me about this truck.
1.) It's from Canada - Which is not a problem itself (nothing against you guys up north!) but I set out to look for a southern raised truck. I already have one rust bucket truck, not looking for another.
2.) It has sat a loooong time unsold. I think he told me (I still need to buy a Carfax) they had it since September of 2015! The dealer stated they drive it once a week and a few of the guys use it now and then to pull their campers so it gets some exercise but 10+ months is a lot of sitting.
3.) There is some paint bubbles on the rear wheel well. I really don't want another rusted truck to deal with in a few years. Pictures of the bubbles.
Some other good/bad/indifferent things depending on how you look at it.
1.) The truck appears stock from the photos. Dealer stated he thinks it's all original. Also said it appears to have stock EGR and it was still TTY bolts on the passenger head when they pulled the cover.
2.) The frame (at least from the pics I have) seems to be stripped and painted. I'm pretty sure that is not the original factory rubber coating. The dealer stated it appear not to be original either.
3.) Has a Rough Country spring leveling kit they put on.
4.) Has brand new tires all the way around.

I mainly looking for someone to drive it since I'm in Ohio and the truck is in Mississippi. If it's got all sorts of problems I won't waste my time to come down to get it.
Looking to see if someone check all the normal stuff. Cold and hot start, delta, degas bottle, etc. I don't need anything advanced just a few basics just to make sure there is nothing huge waiting to be uncovered.

@Idahoser - Were you still able to go on Saturday and take a look at this truck?
If so do you have some gauges you could throw on it to look at EOT/ECT delta? Also maybe boost and VGT values. I'm worried this thing sat to long and the turbo is rusted up. If it starts hard possibly IPR% and ICP. And might as well check FICM main power, logic and vehicle power.
If I was thinking I could have sent you a ScanGauge that was already programed.

Yeah we've been planning all week to make the drive. I didn't check their hours til just now and saw they're open satur day by appt. I sent a request and Doug called me within a minute. We're going to shoot for 9 am. I have Torque and Auto Enginuity. Should be able to get what you want. He said he got it from Nashville, had been a new car trade in. Had mud flaps etc, pulled a 5th wheel with it. Doug put the lift kit and wheels tires on.

The rust would be a concern for me. Looking at the pics the wheel well rust looks to be a repaint (a lot of inconsistent orange peel. Look for overspray in the wheelwells). Also it has an aftermarket adapter oil filter cap. This is all based on my interpretation based on your posted pics viewed on my phone.
If you're willing to travel, I'd keep looking for a southern truck. There's a lot of these out there.
