Need to order 65 seat cover have codes. Which one?
I have a 65 standard cab swb pickup. I need to know which seat cover came on the truck originally so one can be ordered. I think it was delivered with the optional heavy duty black vinyl cover as pictured. Are these available in reproduction? If not what would be the best original looking option reproduced?
Here's (2) photos too look at. The second photo show the warranty tag info along with the metal tag that was attached behind the seat. Just in case somebody can't make out the numbers, the body code is K81 and the tag numbers from the seat are C5TB8164700-A23WK.
Thanks in advance for your help!

My truck has the same black vinyl on the seat ('63). I found a tag as well, but could not read anything on it.
Instead of going with a plain black vinyl cover, I called SMS in Oregon for the period correct red vinyl that was offered for the truck, and ordered a panel with the embossment in it. I received the vinyl already, but I am still waiting for the embossed section of vinyl. I went to Oregon on leave last fall to visit my family and stopped in to SMS and saw their wall of upholstery.
you can see the original embossing in this photo of a 63 f100 I found on the internet a few years ago. The fabric at SMS is identical.
These are the samples I obtained from SMS on that trip last fall.

Hello ridealong34,
To directly answer your question: smsautofabrics.com in Canby, Oregon. Possibly a little pricey, it was for me. I see shipwrecked has already I'd it for you.
Search for “seat covers” with the quotes in the advanced search keyword function for this forum only. Plenty of info. 6T6merc posted Jun 10th, number dummy replied with the trim codes, etc.
FYI, I have a 1966 F100 Custom Cab. I ordered the Macs / Cartouche part #: 48-95712-1 in May 2015 (yikes, price going up), which was labeled “standard cab”. It's not original, but I think it looks appropriate to the truck. Researching on this site, seems that the Custom Cab has a little more seat foam, even so I added a layer of foam from Joann's fabric store as I could still feel the seat springs when accidentally rolling over a SmartCar. I spent two very casual – beer and breaks - afternoons taking my time installing the covers. In my opinion the cover is well made and fits properly (I'm not a salesman), even with the additional foam sheet, which means IMO that it should be very adequate for a standard seat. I also used painter's canvas dropcloth from HFreight as a “gasket” between the springs and the foam to replace the burlap, the 4 x 12 size was plenty and cheap ($5?).
Pics in my albums, hope this is helpful and the project turns out well for you. Regards, Steve

Not with the K81 BODY code it wasn't.

This is a buck tag used by assembly line workers to assure the correct parts were installed, it was put there by the manufacturer of the seat.
