I'm still looking, everyday. A couple weeks ago a 78 F-250, 4x4, 4 speed, straight six (300) showed up on the Lancaster craigslist at a reasonable $4200. By the time I made contact with the seller there was 5 other people that had already contacted him. Sadly i missed out on my ultimate dream truck . The search goes on...

Thanks svolpone for your offer, unfortunately 1980 is a different body style than the (67-79) that i have been searching for. All the details of what i'm looking for are in my first post of this thread. Thanks again.

I have decided to come to a group of guys that love Ford trucks and humbly ask for any help you could provide. I admit I'm picky with pockets that are not so deep. I am looking for a truck that has the patina look but not a rust bucket since I have no welding skills. I want a stick shift so I can teach my children to use a clutch. I really want a truck that is a driver, not one that has been sitting around in a backyard somewhere. Since my funds are limited I have been looking for a truck fairly close to York Pa. so I could just drive it home. I look on Craigslist, E-bay, Search tempest, several times a day and will continue to do so. Thank you for any assistance you are able to provide me.
Happy New Year everybody, I'm still here and I'm still shopping for a (67-79) classic truck. I hope everybody has a Blessed year and I find this elusive truck, never imagined it would take this long.

After looking for a classic Ford truck for over two years without success I'm burning out and have begun to search for a Triumph Bonneville motorcycle. I'm still looking for a (67-79) truck at the same time but I need to have something in the stable and I can't search forever for something that's not apparently meant for me to have. I have gotten close but always come up short. Stay tuned for my next post hopefully with pictures of...

Good news, I'm the new owner of a 1976 F100 ,LWB,3 on the tree, with a 302. Needs some work but for now I'm happy with my purchase. Pictures coming soon.

Thanks for the compliments BPofMD and PGH Rebel.

I waited a long time for a truck and finally settled on this 76. I have been working on removing all the added parts to make it more stock looking. A friend is coming to help me clean up all the wiring in the engine bay. We will than focus on mechanical issues, mostly oil leaks every where. Maybe we will do a compression check and do a tune up next.

It's your truck but I don't know if I would remove any of the accessories. They all look so good on it!

I hear what your saying PGH Rebel. I probably should not have bought this truck because it is dressed up so nicely. I would have been happier with a beat up farm truck to tell you the truth.

This is a great example. I have a lot of work to do.

Then again you could probably sell some of those accessories to members on here. I know if I had a Dentside like yours, I'd be interested in the visor and the camper shell. It's your truck, don't let me tell you what to do with it. Still a sharp truck though!
